2010 can kiss my giant bum goodbye!

It was anything but pleasant.

I thought for sure I was going to have to shave my head and join the witness protection program.

It was intense.....but it's over and we made it (almost all in one piece)

I learned a lot this past year, like who my true friends are and who I can trust.

I learned that divorce sucks , no matter what.

I learned all about being a single mom and a working mom .

I learned that I can find happiness in the smallest things.

I learned my strengths.

I learned my weaknesses.

I learned you can't tap out of life when it strangles you with trials. You have to trudge through.

And that's exactly what I'm doing. I'm trudging. I'm doing the best that I can for my kids, myself and my situation.

And until You've lived a day in the life of me...don't judge.

There. I've said my peace. Happy 2011 and here's to an UH MAZING year of

my new found happiness

new friends

old, but loyal friends. (you know who you are)

new beginnings

new jobs

and a fresh new start!

So...I've just discovered the best way to go on a family vacation is to NOT GO! That is only if your husband is awesome enough to take both kids on the family vacation, and leave you alone for 5 glorious days!

What makes it amazing....

Staying up late every night
sleeping in every morning
cleaning my house without rugrats around to mess it up within an hour
not having to make meals
not having to clean up meals
being able to walk around naked
blasting the music until my head hurts
catching up with old friends
not having to do a DARN thing !

Thank goodness for my father in law and his picture taking skills to capture the vacation on their end! As for my end...no pictures were allowed! (The teeth and the hair did not get brushed for 4 of those 5 days.)

Thank you Hubbards for my much needed alone time!

The proverbial POOP has hit the fan at the Hubbard house, and no matter how hard I try, I can't clean it up. I wonder if the Merry Maids clean poop in the fan?...anyway...time for a little decompression.. My dream came true! I got Scrunchbump into a store...an actual store!

While I was busy packaging Scrunchbumps and signing contracts to take into "Tailored for Two", ( a maternity store by the Chandler Mall)...I thought about how long it took me to get to this point and how many times my sacred Scrunchbump idea was rejected and shot down. And yet, after all of that, I'm still plugging along with fingers crossed, just praying for that big break! That big "YES" .

Well, I finally got it!

I loaded the car full of my nylon shirts and a ten dollar box of "thank you" chocolates and was on my way! On my way to find out that by the end of February, my big break store would be going out of business!

The hits just keep coming!

I think instead of hoping that I get business, I need to hope that stores don't go out of business.

Here's for hoping!

A little while ago I did a post on my favorite thing at the time, which was a battery operated vacuum. That WAS my favorite thing until I discovered this...

This thing has saved my sanity....and carpets ! I cannot believe I did not find this with my first.

The Nuk company claims that it's spill proof ....and I think this time I have found a

"spill proof" sippy that is actually 100% "spill proof!"

So...if you live under a rock like I do and you have not discovered this amazingness yet....you've gotta go get one!

It makes me sad that my baby is old enough to use one of these already!

If you asked me ten years ago where I thought I would be, and what I thought I would be doing, I can tell you I would have never guessed this about my life. I never thought I would be changing 8 diapers a day, cleaning poop from my wedding ring, scrubbing toothpaste out of the grout in the bathroom , setting my alarm every night to wake my 4 year old up to go pee pee, waking up to a crying baby every morning at 7:30 on the dot, loading and unloading the dishwasher at least once a day, doing endless food stained laundry , ....I could go on.... yes...I know I even have it easy! but what I never thought... was that I would also be so in love with these 3 boys. Never thought I would be intoxicated with the smell of my baby's breath, love inhaling the baby's cheeks while he's drinking a bottle, loving the boys' bed head and squinty morning eyes, looking forward to the daily checkup call from the husbie, playing endless games of "Sorry" with the 4 year old instead of doing something "more important", loving our Friday movie nights at home on the couch listening to my husbie snore, enjoying our weekends doing absolutely nothing, but loving every minute of it. There is a point...I can't believe that I'm happy doing things that I never thought would make me happy!! I Love that we can have such a low key week / weekend and enjoy it!! This weekend consisted of fixing the lawnmower, mopping the floors , Coldstone Creamery and Bass Pro Shop! What more can a girl want?! Here's to 50 more years of low key weekends with my 3 favorite boys!

These camo stretch pants go with the facemask....and I will be wearing these on the mountain on Monday! (don't be scared)

The boys and I flew up to Salt Lake to visit the fam for 10 days and we had a blast. Here are some highlights.....

Thermostats set to 60 degrees which required us Arizonans to sleep with down blankets and wool socks.

Standing in line for an hour and a half to see Natalie Cole sing and never getting in.

I did it... I went to see my little brother. Never thought I'd be visiting a family member in prison, but here I am...and all he wants for Christmas is a few dollars to order sticky buns from the commissary. (sweet boy) Sad..weird..depressing..anguishing...exciting..heart wrenching ...and relieving are just a few words to describe the emotions that come with a jail visit. He looked good... He looked humbled... He looked like an inmate! I learned a few tricks of the trade that are only learned while serving maximum security jail time. Like the fact that all you really need to prepare and eat ramen noodles is water from the sink in your cell , toilet paper, a toothpaste tube, and a pillow...Or that a pair of socks and a bar of soap can make for a really fun game between cells! I also learned that no matter what he does, i will always love him and will never give up on him! NEVER! I'm going to see him again tonight. It will be the last time before I go back home to the big P. And probably the last time I'll see him for a long while! I'm going to really miss him but I know this is for the best right now! Gar... I love you buddy! Have a Merry merry Christmas !

first off...is it normal to attend a birthday party where the outdoor furniture is more expensive than my entire dwelling? This makes me want to really be successful! So...when I first started blogging ...(by the way...I despise that word)...I wasn't going to be the type of blogger who blogs about her family, or the fun / lame things that they do together....but here I am "blogging" about our family and our FANTABULOUS trip to Sea World with the in-laws!

I discovered a few things while on this vacay...

California is FREAKIN beautiful!
What is supposed to be a 5 hour drive, turns into 7 while caravanning...(is that a word?)
By the looks of it.......Sea World apparently accepts food stamps as a form of admission
4 year olds are all of a sudden too cool for pictures
30 yr old husbands turn into 4 year old boys while at Sea World
8 month olds CAN in fact survive without a single nap for 3 days

Funnel cake for breakfast, lunch and dinner for 3 days straight is not so good for the digestive track, or the new sprayed on jeans I just bought myself

I have 3 words....SHARK CORDLESS SWEEPER AMAZING....okay maybe that's 4 words. I'm kind of a "clean freak" and this thing really is the new love of my life!I know most battery operated vacuums are crap....(I've tried all of them) but not this one! ... I think I might even trade my first born for this thing if it came down to it.

This week, I had the Opportunity to do something a little non "mommy-ish" and be a part of a photo shoot that required me to a) lose 9 lbs in 8 days (don't worry, I've already gained half back)... B) get my makeup and hair done for hours by Dolce "artists"....C) wear INCREDIBLE couture, custom gowns and jewelry and flaunt them behind the camera for an entire day! My name was no longer Mommy!...or at least until 7:00 that evening. Here's just a glimpse of what Monday was like...It was UNBELIEVEABLE!

Oh yeah...and we did this all at the Deer Valley airport with vintage planes....even MORE amazing!

After this week of fall break...Prescott delight...and sick baby...I was in need of a night out with the girls. We hit Mill Avenue like we were pubescent pimple faced girls without parental supervision and LIT IT UP! Well... kinda...we got the night started at 6:30. We DO have responsibilities in the morning. Here's a glimpse of our amazingly ridiculous night that was only made more amazing by the fact that one of us wasn't wearing pants.

WHAT JUST HAPPENED?

The past 24 hours have been a whirlwind of 64 poopy diapers,
grumpy kids, exhausted moms, a ridiculous amount of caffeine (and marshmallows),
dirt bikes, an exorcism, almost roasted weenies, and 3 pounds of cat hair.
Prescott was supposed to be UH-MAZING! I'm still trying to figure out what went wrong.
I knew I found my theme for this post when I saw this.....
ps. A setting was off on my camera, so the quality is not great. Working on it for next time!

First...let's rewind....

Heather and I loaded up our 4 boys and went on what was supposed to be a relaxing vacation.

Out of the heat and into the woods to Dallon's Grandparents' cabin in Prescott.

Little did we know it would be anything but that.

We loaded up the quad and the dirtbikes and hit the road Yesterday morning planning on staying for 3 days. We arrived back home in a furry at 1:30 pm. today.

I have no words to describe what happened, but in 24 hours, I came back with an ulcer in my esophagus, a sore right fist, an appointment with a child psychologist, the excessive need to vacuum my belongings and body, and 6 extra pounds.

That's all I'm saying.

There WERE a few good moments where all Heather and I could do was laugh...and maybe cry at the same time.

Here are some of the sweet moments captured. We'll leave the latter to the imagination.

The only moment on the trip that this baby did NOT cry.

Remember when I was home-schooled?..Oh yeah...and remember when I was thrown into the public school system my senior year? Yeppers....that was me!... no bitterness here! Let's just say the '98 -'99 school year was memorable! Enough to make me NOT want to attend my 10 year reunion. Everyone my age and their mothers geared up for theirs this weekend. Buying new outfits....getting their hair done...losing those last 5 pounds..and for what??Well, I opted out of course. Why would I want to relive something a second time, when it was so horrific the first time?! We all know the only reason we go is because we feel the need to show those turds that were mean to us, how AMAZING and HOT we are now! And to show those cheerleaders that "my husband's hotter than your husband !" This weekend really made me remember those years and how much I LOVED (sarcasm fully intended) them. So let's recap and see what the high school / teenage years gave me....

Amazing permed hair

Great uneven skin tone

Even greater teeth

Bumps (not boobs)

Stretch marks on my outer thighs

Body image issues that will last my lifetime

A 5.7.9. wardrobe to be coveted

Doc Marten slip on clogs (in black and brown)

The ability to eat lunch alone in a a bathroom stall

A crush on Ryan Locke

A 1991 maroon Chrysler Dynasty

A need to always own blue waterproof mascara, just in case.

Like most things in my life, I must have inspiration, or nothing gets accomplished. The world (and my mother) can attest....I've always gone against the proverbial grain so to speak, and have rebelled against this whole blog nonsense because everyone and their stepmother was doing it.
